I wrote an article about the last mile problem and stuck in a section about WiredWest, a group my dad is heavily involved in. I didn't want to overemphasize WiredWest because it's only semi-related to the last mile problem. HOWEVER the group is working on some really interesting projects and making exciting legislative process that is relevant to what freenet is doing so I urge you to look at the WiredWest website or talk to me about it.
