back from conference
Line 1: Line 1:
New computer is here. Time to install Linux, and then many updates and emails to follow.
The free culture conference was really something else. Two days of enlightening discussion, and goodbye dinner to remember. I am only excited to return to Grinnell and continue our work. It would be sad to say goodbye, but I know that this is only the beginning. The people I met this weekend will be my peers and colleagues for a lifetime. I cannot adequately express the degree to which this thought excites me.

Finally fixed the spam issue! Huzzah!
The next step is to add the wikichat extension, as per [[user:marcus| Marcus's]] suggestion. Then we'll be getting close to a full fledged collaboration machine. Also looking at ArticleComments, Discussion Threading, Contact Page, and SimpleFeed.

Just finished this essay I've been working on, and now I'll have much more time for the movement. If you're interested in the jewish roots of modernity, the essay is [[Spinoza,_Kaballah,_and_the_Onset_of_Modernity| here]].

I'm really happy with how things are going so far in the commons. People are starting to contribute, and I promise it will get easier as we begin to populate this space with knowledge.

It would be sad to say goodbye, but I know that this is only the beginning. The people I met this weekend will be my peers and colleagues for a lifetime.
