Before any of the FNF projects can do anything, they need electricity to drive the circuits that execute instructions and move data. Most of us take the utility electrical power that we use for granted...until it's not there for one reason or another. While utility electrical power is a mostly stable and inexpensive way to energize our equipment, there are many alternatives. This article will attempt to enumerate the various practical ways that we can get electricity, what makes each method unique and discuss the pros and cons of the most popular methods.
Once we have identified the various power sources, we'll go on to figure out what power source(s) fit each application.
