Wouldn't it be better to use the term "Tiers" instead of "Layers" ??
The term "layers" normally refers to layers in a networking protocol stack, usually based on the original OSI definition, e.g. Ethernet is layer 2, IP is layer 3 and TCP is layer 4. Since this usage is so pervasive in networking I suggest you substitute something, for eample Tiers.
